Responsibilities
- Acquiring all real property required by government
departments by purchase, exchange, or expropriation;
- Disposal of real property no longer required by
government;
- Maintaining an inventory of government owned lands in
the province;
- Administering public works development areas;
- Coordinating transfers of real property between the
province and the federal government; and
- Property Acquisition Databases consisting of
government-owned properties, road closures, highway
reservation acquisitions and intergovernmental transfers
throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
