Financial and General Operations Division
Financial Services oversee and co-ordinate the financial operations within the department including:
- Budget preparation, monitoring and control;
- Accounts payable ( purchase of goods and services and
payment processing of invoices);
- Accounts receivable (invoicing, collection and follow-up
on revenue related services);
- Inventory maintenance;
- Tangible capital asset monitoring;
- Maintaining a project analysis, reporting and tracking
system (PARTS) for alterations and improvements to existing
owned and leased government facilities;
- Administration of cost shared agreements;
- Maintenance of financial policies and procedures
manuals;
- Financial and audit services as required; Preparation of
the Public Accounts;
General Services:
- Government-wide answering service (switchboard 2300);
- Central Registry-official record retention/retrieval and
the receipt, sorting and distribution of departmental mail;
- Litigation support-assisting Department of Justice
litigators with the retrieval and management of documents
related to litigation arising from the Department.
