Maintenance and Support Division
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for
maintenance of highways, airstrips and marine terminals;
- Designing and producing highway signage, licence
stickers, special graphics in a commercial s sign shop;
- Maintenance of pavement markings;
- Administering Local Road Boards Grants, Labrador
Development Association Trail Grooming Grants and Brush
Cutting Grants;
- Administering and developing policy for the entire fleet
of government vehicles;
- Maintaining data on maintenance and equipment costs, and
storing department records;
- Coordinating department's involvement in the Highway
Commercial Sign Policy and Program;
- Administering inventory management system and inventory
control
