To search this directory, simply
enter the applicable information in one or more of the data entry fields provided.
Example: You may enter their last name and first name or only their last name. If you
wish, you may select the name of a Department from the drop-down list or leave the default
to search the entire directory. To complete the operation, click on the Submit Request button.
This will return a list of all individuals matching the criteria you entered. Once you
have located the individual you are looking for, you can click on their name and this will
provide you with additional details (if available) on that individual.
Please note:
There are NO wildcard characters. The search is designed to
search on whatever you type in and compare it to the information in the system. Thus if
you type in 'Smith' you will get a list of all the Smith's, but if you type in 'S', you
would get a list of all the names starting with S (i.e. Smith, Spears, Simpson, etc.). The
search is not case sensitive. The search will return all entries matching your search
criteria. Results will be returned in groups of 10 per page. In the event that more than
10 entries match your search criteria, if the individual you are searching for doesn't
appear on the first page, simply go to the following page until you find their listing. To
start a new search, simply click on the The Return to Select Criteria button
or the Search button in the left hand border.
Organizational Structure
It is also possible to search a departments organizational
structure. Simply specify the Sorting Order as Organization Structure
select the Department Name, leave all other fields blank and click the Submit
Request button. You will then be given the opportunity to further refine your
search based on the Branch and Division (or Location) names within that department.

- What's in this
directory?
The On-Line Government Telephone Directory is a service provided by the Information
Systems and Telecommunications Division of the Department of Works, Services and
Transportation which is responsible for the provision of telecommunications services and
the publication of this directory. It has been
developed to help you contact the proper government employees more efficiently by
providing you with a searchable directory of their contact information.
This directory contains telephone, title, postal address,
and other public information related to government employees. The information is very
similar to the information available in the printed version of the Government of
Newfoundland and Labrador Telephone Directory
There is also a Government Fax Listing for all departments
and a Frequently called numbers page.
- Why Can't I find
xyz?
The directory is currently populated with the information from the paper version of the
Government Telephone book. In order to ensure that those employees that require privacy
can maintain it, this directory will only contain information that is known to be already
published. This will be the case until such time as the mechanisms are in place and
consent is given to provide additional information.
You may also experience problems if you do not have an updated version of an Internet Web
Browser (see item # 3 below).

If you are using an older version of one of these browsers, or another product, (or have

Function will work as expected.

you should upgrade. This will enable you to use the On-Line Search function with this Web
Site, and more importantly, greatly enhance your overall Internet experience.
Your should also ensure that your browser is configured to accept "Cookies"
which is normally the default in most cases. Back to the top.
